How do I reset my Wave Spa heater? ›

Step 4: Now that the filter is clean, let it sit for 2 minutes and then reset the heater unit by pressing the filter button (resembling a DNA helix) down for 10 seconds. Please ensure that water is between the minimum and maximum line. Maintaining your hot tub will ensure that you have a fully functioning hot tub.

Turning off your heater unit after use will cause the water temperature to drop drastically and you would have to reheat the water the next day from cold, this will use more energy to reheat from cold, compared to if you had left it running.

The E5 error code is indicative of a high-limit sensor failure. This typically means you need to clean or replace the spa filter. Is there a reset button on a wave spa? ›

To reset, wait for 10 minutes, then press the “Inflate/Bubble” button again. the heating system will stop working, however the heating indicator light will remain on and the filter pump will stay in operation.

Switch off the power, remove the filters, wait around 20 minutes (as this will allow the sensor to clear the fault), switch the power back on and run the jets without the filters to see if it clears the flow issue. If the flow error clears, switch off the power again, reinstall the filters and switch the power back on.

The E3 Error indicates a condition where the Temperature Sensor has sensed a high temperature (Greater than 113 F. / 45 C.) within the PCU before the water has passed through the Heater.

If your spa heater won't heat, remove and clean the filter(s) to rule out a pressure or flow rate problem. Low water level, a clogged pump impeller, closed valves, clogged pipes, or blocked spa drain covers can also cause flow issues.

Turn the spa off and pull the yellow rip cord cable under the heater unit. Press reset on the RCD unit to turn spa back on. Press the test function on the RCD unit, making sure the spa turns off. Then press Reset to turn spa on.
