Audience Member fucked up bizarro arthouse psycho porn. best lesbian roadtrip murderers Rated 2/5 Stars • Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member A very unpleasant script and a terrible central performance (seriously, what the fuck was that accent supposed to be?) enlivened by Winterbottom's typically compelling and energetic direction. Rated 3/5 Stars • Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member An unrelenting film. Amanda Plummer gives a very brave and desperate performance as a woman unhinged from reality who kills indiscriminately in the wake of psychotic rages. Not for everyone. Rated 3/5 Stars • Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member A dark road movie that isn't all that pleasing to look at, but compels you to do so anyway. Strong performances from Amanda Plummer and Saskia Reeves and careful direction add to the realism, but the film isn't as successful as it could've been. Rated 3/5 Stars • Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member bizarre to the max though in a sorta intriguing way. the Cranberries soundtrack lent a rather haunting, hypnotic air of sadness. Rated 3/5 Stars • Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Eunice walks the English highways from gas station to gas station looking for Judith, the love of her life. Eunice is an unstable violent person. She ends up murdering gas attendants not named Judith, when they aren't her love. She meets Mariam, a gas station attendant, who feels sorry for Eunice. She wants to "save" Eunice, and she ends up going along on the quest for Judith. This is a "Lovers on the Run" story which intercuts black and white footage of Mariam talking about the happenings which are going on in the film. Mariam loves Eunice, and although she doesnt approve of Eunice's knack for violence, she just can't leave her. Amanda Plummer is fantastic as the unstable Eunice. Her performance is explosive and scary, as you never know what's she's going to do next. The one problem I have is that Its hard to believe Mariam's devotion and love for Eunice. It happens very fast and could have probably used a little more of a build up. If you can ignore this though, you get a very interesting, comedic yet creepy narcissistic movie.
