How do I see pending deposits on my account? ›

Simply log onto your bank account profile and look at your checking account or savings account history. Depending on when payment was sent, your money could come up as pending direct deposit in either one of these accounts. Go into your bank account history to check the status of your money.

You can see the checks and deposit slips that have posted to an account. 1 2 From your accounts page, choose the account tile you'd like to review. We'll show your recent account activity. Choose the image next to the check or deposit slip you'd like to see.

Your available balance is the amount of the account's present balance that is available for immediate use. Certain pending transactions, such as deposits that contain checks, may not be immediately available and wouldn't be included in the available balance.

If you've sent money to yourself or someone else, the transfer can show as pending while we run checks to help make sure your account is safe. This means it might take a little longer for the money to reach its destination, sometimes up to two hours.

A standard overnight direct deposit credits before 6 AM ET so it would credit before 3 AM PT. With early direct deposit from work, there would be no difference as Chase does not modify cutoff times or time of receipt of funds related to your time zone.

Usually, you'll have access to your direct deposit at the opening of business on your payday — by 9 a.m. In many cases, direct deposits hit accounts even earlier, often between midnight and 6 a.m. on payday morning. But there are factors that can affect how long it takes your direct deposit to become available.

You may see pending transactions at the top of your statement. This is where the money hasn't been taken from your account, but has been put aside for the merchant to take. The merchant may take the money after a couple of days, but it can sometimes take longer.

Clicking or tapping 'View all transactions' allows you to see Completed Transactions as well as Active Transactions that are still pending.

How long pending transactions take to finally process and post to your account depends on a few different factors. These include the merchant, the bank or credit card issuer, the payment processing network and the type of transaction.

A financial institution may put a hold on a direct deposited check in some situations, such as if the check is for a large amount, the account is new, the account has been overdrawn, or the bank has a concern about the ability to collect the funds from the payer.

Unlike the current balance, it will not factor in any pending transactions. For example, if you are depositing a check that has not processed yet, you will not be able to withdraw that amount and it will not be reflected in the available balance.

Early direct deposit is a service that comes with your Chase Secure Banking account in which we credit your eligible direct deposit transaction up to two business days early.

It could take a couple of weeks for a direct deposit to go into effect. It can often take up to two pay cycles with your employer. It might be helpful to consult with your employer to understand their specifics and monitor your account closely during this time.
